State: Indiana Position type: Staff Department: College AdvancementAdvancement Services Wabash College invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Advancement Research. The Coordinator of Advancement Research secures and compiles publicly-available information regarding current donors, prospective donors, alumni, and friends of Wabash College for use by the College Advancement staff, other College staff including the Presidents Office, and select volunteers. The Coordinator of Advancement Research manages the prospect and donor pool ensuring tracking of all relevant moves management activities and facilitating efficiency and productivity on the part of all Advancement staff members. Primary responsibilities of the position: Provide research leadership for the Wabash Advancement Office including Major Gifts, the Annual Fund, Alumni & Parent Relations, and other College staff including select volunteers. Complete primary research on current donors and prospective donors in support of these offices. Manage the Colleges prospect management and tracking system including the coordination of all administrative aspects of the moves management system. Includes staff assignments, wealth and affinity rating levels, solicitation tracks, and ensuring accurate moves management tracking. Establish a framework to receive online news alerts, push technology, or other sources of available public information in order to track news and relevant data on key constituents. Regularly update Advancement staff on trends impacting philanthropic giving and recommend donor groups most likely to be successful for cultivation and solicitation. Provide research analysis of the Colleges constituents. Other responsibilities as assigned. Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in Library Science preferred. A liberal arts education, experience working with alumni, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in College Advancement preferred. The position requires knowledge of electronic resources, internet search techniques, and research tools. In addition, the position requires excellent written, interpersonal, and organizational skills; experience in data analysis; and willingness to work within a larger team of development professionals. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to interpret, analyze, and summarize complex biographical, business, and personal financial data from multiple sources. The Wabash College Advancement team includes Alumni & Parent Relations, Annual Giving, Major Gifts, Public Affairs & New Media, and Advancement Services.
