By Vanessa Dennis - These days it takes more than just an appointment with the campus career center to begin a job search. Students are turning to Web sites like CollegeRecruiter.com and AfterCollege.com for career advice and job opportunities.
Steven Rothberg of CollegeRecruiter.com said that new grads can make a couple of strong moves to maximize their job search. "Dont spend day after day on the job boards. Use sites such as LinkedIn and write a blog about the organization you most want to work for. Above all, network, network, network."
So kids, put down that mojito and get crackin'!

By Vanessa Dennis - Comcast subscribers in Chicago now have access to the Job Search Television Network, which broadcasts video profiles of companies who are currently recruiting. JSTN may be coming to a city near you soon.
"There is nothing really out there like this in terms of a multimedia recruitment too," Account Supervisor Nick Dorado said. "For companies, it costs a lot less than paying for an ad spot, plus it builds familiarity with the viewers."
